The wheels of justice grind slowly. On an unrelated topic, Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian still haven't finalized their divorce. Now it seems Humphries is going to act as his own lawyer. There is a saying, heard frequently in movie courtroom scenes, that any man who represents himself has a fool for a client, but in Humphries' defense he had two real lawyers working for him. One has withdrawn, and the other -- Humphries business attorney from Minnesota -- can't work a case under California law without assistance from local counsel. At which point Kris Humphries apparently decided he was the next best legal mind in California. [TMZ]

What is this, Strike Back at Your Ex week? First Elisabeth Moss said Fred Armisen's impersonations were lame and boring, and now Heidi Klum is speaking out about her split from Seal and his decision to talk and talk and talk about it in the weeks that followed. That didn't thrill her, it seems. “He’s going to be 50 next year,” Klum told Elle. “He’s a grown man. I can’t tell him what to do and what not to do." When pressed for more details about the split, Klum replied: "I’m not going to comment. Otherwise it makes you angry." Then she added, somewhat cuttingly: "You can’t always call and say, ‘This is not true, but this is true.’" So in conclusion, yes, this is Strike Back at Your Ex week. It came early this year. David Duchovny's lawyer Stanton Stein is very upset his client was pictured and named in a recent New York Post article on sex addiction by David Ley, who has also written a book called The Sex Addiction Myth. According to the Post, Stein fired off a letter to Ley demanding that he take a picture of Duchovny, who went to rehab for sex addiction in 2008, out of the book and cease using his name while promoting it. Ley takes the position that sex addiction is a crock, but Stein says that has nothing to do with why he sent the letter. "The purpose of my letter," he explained, "was to tell him I don’t want him using illegal pictures of my client in his book.” [Page Six]

New York magazine is going to launch a "stand-alone design magazine" called New York Design Hunting starting in May. It will have an initial circulation of 75,000 and will technically be a trial issue, though publisher Larry Burstein has already said future issues are likely. Wendy Goodman, New York's design editor, is going to edit the new magazine. [WWD]
The mere sight of Mikhail Baryshnikov caused a lady to faint Tuesday night at the Joyce Theater prior to a performance from Stephen Petronio's dance company. A spy says that after collapsing, the woman "came to shortly after and enjoyed the show and after-party at the Hotel Americano," while Baryshnikov "made it into the theater unfazed." [Page Six]
