Kourtney Kardashian on Talking Parenting with Kim: ‘She Will Give Little Digs As If My Way Is Wrong’

Kourtney Kardashian may be one fifth of the most famous quintet of sisters in entertainment, but it doesn’t mean they don’t have their fair share of disagreements, like every group of siblings.

And while Kourtney says she and her sister Khloé rarely bicker, when it comes to being a parent, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian West don’t always see eye to eye.

“It’s not even bickering; we just have different ways of doing things,” Kourtney says in an interview with The New Potato. “So even if it’s things with our kids, we’ll talk to each other about it. I’ll say, ‘I think I want to do this, this way,’ and then she wants to do something that way.”

But like any sisters who have strong personalities, sometimes it gets a little more heated than just a simple difference of opinion.

“She will give little digs as if my way is wrong or something. I used to love confrontation — and I don’t love confrontation anymore — but sometimes it will really get to me and I’ll just go off. And it feels so good. It’s more just a yelling, quick thing to let it be known that I’m always right,” Kourtney, 37, adds with a laugh.

But although they don’t always agree on everything, Kourtney’s sisters definitely add a ton of positive influence to her kids’ lives.

“They all bring different things into their lives with their different personalities. I feel like Khloe is definitely the fun, playful aunt, and Kylie has about a million pets, so they love to go play with her pets.”

Kourtney also has some advice for new moms — specifically, to try and keep cool and just trust your instincts.

“I remember when I was pregnant with Mason, my mom would always be like, ‘Why isn’t the room painted? Where is the crib? Where is this or that,’ ” Kourtney says . “And I was like, ‘People used to have babies in caves; it’s going to be okay.’ ”

Keeping calm makes sense as a big priority for Kourtney, since she’s mom to three young children: Mason Dash, 6, Penelope Scotland, 3 ½, and Reign Aston, 16 months, with ex Scott Disick, whom she has been separated from since July of last year.

“Don’t worry if your diaper bag isn’t perfectly packed with all the things you need. As time went on, I started to just leave the house without it,” she adds. “I would bring the essentials or just throw a couple things in my purse instead of this huge thing, with blankets and extra sweaters. I was like, ‘Let’s just live life and not carry a million things around.’ I think it’s about staying calm and trusting your instincts.”
