Kooiman Road to have scheduled closures starting tomorrow: Mobile officials

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The City of Mobile announced a series of upcoming road closures starting Wednesday, May 22.

According to a release from city officials, Kooiman Road, just east of US Highway 90, is planned to be closed Wednesday, May 22. The closure is expected to last from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. so crews can complete road improvements.

Following tomorrow’s closure, work is planned for Thursday and Friday. It will also extend into next week for Tuesday, May 28, and Wednesday, May 29.

Officials released the following assigned detour route for drivers to use during the closures:
