KNWA Today: nature science center coming to NWA

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) – The Ozark Natural Science Center says it’s unveiling its new satellite location near Lake Fayetteville on Saturday. The first day coincides with one of the center’s primary fundraisers, the Call of the Wild.

The nonprofit’s website says the fundraising event will support its ongoing mission to provide greater environmental education to the surrounding community. The science center says it provides ongoing access to environmental programs, hosts fieldtrips, and offers facility rentals. The organization adds that its expansion into its new Lake Fayetteville location will bolster its ability to conduct this outreach to more communities.

Tickets to the center’s Call of the Wild benefit, with music, food, and science activities, are available at the center’s website, linked here.
