Power restored to Knob Hill area after outage

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Power was fully restored to customers in the Knob Hill area around 2:07 p.m., according to Colorado Springs Utilities.

Colorado Springs Utilities’ outage map shows a section of Colorado Springs off of Platte Avenue is currently without power and it is expected to take hours to restore power to those areas.

According to Springs Utilities, the affected areas are between North Union Boulevard and North Academy Boulevard around East Platte Avenue.

Springs Utilities said the outage happened around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, and estimates power won’t be restored until around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday.

Springs Utilities said during an outage, do not use ovens, stoves, or camping stoves for heat to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
