Knife-wielding robber lunges at delivery rider in unprovoked London attack

A man who stabbed a London delivery rider in a horrific unprovoked attack has been jailed.

CCTV footage released by the Metropolitan Police shows Lewis Livingstone, 19, leap out at the victim, forcing him off his bicycle in Fore Street, Enfield, on 1 July last year.

He then unsheathed a large knife and chased the victim away from the bicycle, before mounting it himself and brandishing the knife again.

The victim tackled Livingstone to prevent his bicycle from being stolen and as they lay on the floor, Livingstone retrieved his knife and stabbed the victim in the abdomen in front of scores of horrified onlookers.

The man screamed for help and sustained further injuries to his hands as he desperately tried to defend himself.

He was given first aid at the scene before being taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

Police arrested Livingstone minutes after the attack and he has since been sentenced to six and a half years in prison.
