Knife found on Newport News school bus on Wednesday

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newport News police seized a knife found on a school bus on Wednesday.

Police say the bus was for East End Academy. No one was hurt and there was no altercation involved.

Police say the knife was originally found by a staff member, who notified authorities.

The student has been banned from riding the bus following the incident.
