Klaus Kinski's daughter claims mercurial German actor sexually abused her as a child

BERLIN - The eldest daughter of Klaus Kinski claims that the late German actor sexually abused her as a child.

Pola Kinski told Germany's Stern magazine in an interview published Thursday that her father started molesting her when she was five and repeatedly raped her up to age 19.

Her claim is detailed in an autobiography due to be published in German next week.

Klaus Kinski died in 1991. He began acting on stage after World War II and later played in films such as "For A Few Dollars More" and "Doctor Zhivago."

The actor was most famous for his collaboration with director Werner Herzog in whose films he portrayed characters that mirrored his own volatile personality.

His biographer Peter Geyer declined to comment publicly on the allegations in the new book.
