Kingsport PD: 2 dead after West Stone Drive crash

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Kingsport police are investigating a fatal crash on West Stone Drive that left two people dead Wednesday.

The Kingsport Police Department (KPD) reports that a 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass/Ciera was traveling south on Lawson Drive and crossed West Stone Drive around 11 p.m.

A 2005 Honda Accord traveling west on West Stone Drive then reportedly hit the Oldsmobile in the driver’s side.

The driver of the Oldsmobile, identified by the KPD as Michael C. Braman, 42, and passenger Joplin Collins, 39, were both fatally injured.

Charges against the driver of the Honda are pending an investigation, according to the KPD.
