Kings' Quick cleared to play
Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick, who led the team to its first Stanley Cup title last June, has been medically cleared to play.
Quick underwent a minor surgical procedure for an inflammatory cyst and a disc fragment back in August. He received medical clearance Monday to resume play, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Quick was 35-21-13 with a 1.95 goals-against average. However, he was even better during the playoffs, going 16-4 with a 1.41 GAA and .946 save percentage.
