Kids invited to free Easter egg hunt in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Children between the ages of two and 11 are invited to participate in a free Easter egg hunt that is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.

The Stitches Influencing Purpose Initiative, in partnership with the CB Pennington YMCA and other local organizations, will host The Community Easter Egg Hunt at the CB Pennington YMCA, located at 15550 Old Hammond Hwy.

In addition to the main event, kids and their families can enjoy free food, games, music, prizes, face painting and special entertainment. The Easter Bunny will make a guest appearance as well.

“Our goal is to keep communities in a safe and non-threatening environment and bring local organizations together to provide exceptional services to communities that may need it the most. Through this partnership, we hope to put local needs first and expose local communities to the available resources. Stitches’ mission is to bring these expressions together to allow the natural healing process to occur,” said Founder and CEO of The Stitches Group Dr. Jeremy Blunt.

The hunt will include more than 1,000 candy-filled eggs and special prizes.
