Kids COVID Vaccination Clinic Saturday At Bain 50+ Center In HoCo

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Kids age 5 to 11 who would like to receive the Pfizer COVID vaccine can get it Saturday at the Bain 50+ Center in Columbia at 5470 Ruth Keeton Way at a vaccination event hosted by the Howard County Public School System, Howard County Health Department and the Howard County government from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“To date, nearly 44 percent of our 5– to 11-year-old residents have received at least one vaccine dose – that’s nearly 14,000 of our children and is incredible progress,” Howard County Executive Calvin Ball said. “With new variants and the holiday season underway, it’s more important than ever to ensure our children have this additional layer of protection from COVID-19. We’re grateful to our partners at Safeway for providing these vaccine doses and helping us reach more of our community. Let’s get vaccinated.”

“Getting the youngest of our eligible residents vaccinated will help control the spread of COVID-19 in the community, prevent hospitalizations and save lives” added Dr. Maura J. Rossman, Howard County Health Officer.
