From Popular Mechanics

Before revealing its concept at Geneva early next month, all Kia will give us is a teaser image, and a PR-approved quote from Gregory Guillaume, Vice President of Design at the brand's Frankfurt-based design center:

We imagined designing an all-electric car that not only answered consumer concerns around range, performance, recharging networks and driving dynamism, but one that also gave you goose bumps when you looked at it, and made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when you drove it. That’s why our all-electric concept is designed to not only get your pulse racing, but to also signpost our holistic and emotional approach to electrification.

Right. And they are also using a new badge, apparently.

While Kia's performance EV concept may very well be powered by a tuned version of the 201-horsepower drivetrain of the e-Niro crossover, based on this image, we can't decide whether its just another 'dynamic' crossover, or the rather daring compact sports car we keep wishing for since the 2014 Kia GT4 Stinger Concept wowed Detroit.

What's for sure is that Kia knows how to build a driver's car, and is unlikely to forget the recipe it worked so hard on purely because it's pushing for electric propulsion now. Let's wait and see.
