KHP identifies three people killed in head-on crash north of Lawrence
LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the three people killed in a Douglas County, Kansas crash.
The crash was reported just after 1:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 24 near N. 2100 Road, or near the Jefferson County line.

According to KHP, the driver of a GMC Sierra was traveling east on U.S. 24 when he struck a 2010 Kia Soul head-on.
The driver and two passengers in the Kia were pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as 70-year-old Ronald Milano, of Bennet, Nebraska, 39-year-old Joshua Milano and 33-year-old Patricia Milano, both from Lincoln, Nebraska.
KHP said Ronald Milano, the driver, was wearing a seatbelt but it’s unknown if Joshua or Patricia were wearing one.
The driver of the GMC was not injured.

The crash closed both directions of U.S. 24-59 for nearly six hours.
