Explosions rang out in Kharkiv as Russians carried out another mass attack in the early morning on April 11, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported.

"There are explosions in the city,” he wrote at 5:02 a.m. EET.

“Kharkiv has come under Russian missile attack. Be careful."

"The enemy struck at least five times," Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synehubov said a few minutes later.

The monitoring channel Chomu Tryvoha (Why the Alarm) warned about a ballistic missile threat in Kharkiv. It was soon confirmed by the Air Force.

Shortly thereafter, Synehubov reported that at least nine strikes hit Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast.

“Power outages are possible,” he added.

"At this moment, information about the victims has not been received. The situation is being clarified.”

Terekhov also confirmed that problems with energy supply were possible in Kharkiv.

“The city subway is suspended for the next few hours,” he added.

Russians launched at least 10 attacks on critical infrastructure in Kharkiv city and Oblast, Synehubov said at 5:38 a.m.

"No casualties have been reported so far,” he wrote.

“Information is being updated. We are experiencing power outages.”

Russia carried out a massive attack with both drones and missiles overnight on April 11 as the entire country was under the threat of an air raid.

Russian attacks on Kharkiv

Russia has attacked Kharkiv more frequently, including a mass attack on the region on April 7.

Kharkiv authorities are considering the possibility of forcibly evacuating children from Oblast’s northern region, Synehubov said.

The enemy began to attack settlements that they did not attack a month ago.

The invaders have changed their tactics and are now striking the same place twice, targeting Ukrainian emergency services, Synehubov said.

Russia has intensified its strikes on Kharkiv because the Kremlin wants to make this city an uninhabitable "gray zone", American media wrote.
