Kevin Hart Sex Tape Participant Says She's A Victim
The female sex tape participant in Kevin Hart's alleged extortion case this week claimed she was a victim of a crime. Montia Sabbag, the alleged victim, spoke at a press conference Wednesday about her involvement.
Hollywood attorney Lisa Bloom, who represents Sabbag, joined her at the podium. The press conference detailed Sabbag's plan of action.
"I am not an extortionist. I am not a stripper. I'm a recording artist and an actress — I have not broken any laws. I had nothing to do with these recordings," Sabbag told reporters Wednesday. "I hired Lisa Bloom to retract my rights. I'm truly sorry for any involvement that I had in this."
"Montia is a crime victim," Bloom said. "Someone apparently snuck cameras into Kevin Hart's private hotel suite in Las Vegas and recorded bedroom images of the two of them. It is a crime to secretly put a camera in a private place, like a hotel room."
Bloom added, "It is another crime to secretly record people in a private place. It is yet another crime to disseminate those images. Montia is, therefore, the victim of multiple felonies under state and federal law."
Law enforcement is reportedly investigating the claim.
"We will go to the authorities immediately to report this matter," Bloom said. "We want to be sure that these crimes are thoroughly investigated and that the criminal responsible for these felonies is apprehended. We will fully cooperate with law enforcement."
Bloom and Sabbag aren't seeking financial repayment from Hart, nor do they want punishable actions to be taken out against him. The pair believes he's also a victim of the alleged crime. They invited him to join forces to bring down the violator at fault.
Hart addressed the incident in an Instagram video Sunday.
"Sending so many apologies to my wife & kids. I gotta do better and I will. I'm not perfect and have never claimed to be...I love you all," Hart captioned the video.
Hart claimed in the video he "made a bad error in judgment and put myself in an environment where only bad things can happen, and they did."
"I simply got to do better, but I'm also not going to allow a person to have financial gain over my mistakes," Hart said in the video. "In this particular situation, that’s what was attempted, and I said I’d rather fess up to my mistakes."

Sabbag reportedly met Hart spontaneously on the way to Las Vegas. Hart's "intimate relationship" with Sabbag was brief, having only lasted a few days. The pair hasn't talked recently, but Bloom claims there were discussions in the past. Neither the number of times they've engaged in sexual encounters nor has Sabbag's knowledge of his marriage to Eniko Parrish been confirmed.
Bloom has represented Hollywood's biggest stars. As an advocate for women's rights, she has helped support the likes of Janice Dickinson and Mischa Barton. Bloom recently took on Blac Chyna as a client in July after the reality television star alleged to be a victim of revenge porn.
Representatives for Kevin Hart and Lisa Bloom did not immediately return International Business Times' requests for comment.
