Kerry Washington Is Pregnant With Her Second Child
Another baby Gladiator is officially on the way!
On Monday, E! News reported that Scandal star Kerry Washington and her husband, former San Francisco 49ers player Nnamdi Asomugha, are expecting their second child together. The pair welcomed their daughter, Isabelle Amarachi, in 2014 - and sources report that they couldn't be happier that the 2-year-old will have a baby sibling soon.
Kerry is notoriously quiet about her private life, but after the news broke, she chose to debut her growing baby bump on the red carpet at the Met Gala, wearing a gorgeous, bedazzled black gown by Marc Jacobs and cradling her belly with one hand. Ever the cool mom, she completed the look with magenta curls and a flawless smokey eye.
Earlier this weekend, the actress fueled pregnancy rumors when she attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner, noticeably hiding her stomach in every photo using a tiny clutch purse. Now that the secret's out, however, it's likely that Kerry will be flaunting her baby bump from now on.
"I feel really, really blessed," Kerry told the Los Angeles Times after she had her daughter, Isabelle. "I just feel really blessed that I'm kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life."
Based on how happy she looked at tonight's Met Gala, it's safe to say her feelings about Isabelle's new baby sibling will be just as strong.
