Kern Families Against Crime hold fundraiser at Handel’s Ice Cream Tuesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern Families Against Crime are set to hold a fundraising event at Handel’s Ice Cream Tuesday evening.

The non-profit organization works to reduce and solve crimes in Kern by empowering communities to become actively involved in crime prevention and resolution initiatives. KFAC was founded by the “Bakersfield Three” moms in 2019.

The nonprofit has brought in over $100,000 for the Secret Witness Foundation, the nonprofit has purchased and donate specialized equipment to Kern County Search and Rescue. We know that since the nonprofit has raised donations for secret witness, there are cases that have been solved through people calling in because there was a reward, that financial incentive, we know that works.”
