Kerman gets a new sign on top of Jensen Avenue roundabout

KERMAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A new sign to ensure visitors to Kerman know they have arrived has been unveiled in the Fresno County city.

Caltrans announced this week that work has finished on the $481,000 Clean California project. The new gateway monument spelling out the name “Kerman” is on the roundabout at the intersection of Highway 145 and Jensen Avenue.

According to Caltrans, the “Kerman” monument is to inspire community spirit and celebrate rural culture. The area has been finished with a stamped concrete pavement and landscape rock.

The work is part of the $1.2 billion Clean California initiative, designed to clean up trash, create jobs, and beautify public spaces.
