Watch the Kentucky Derby while dining on this delicious menu. The 139-year-old horse race is a great excuse to celebrate spring and throw a fabulous party.

Serve your guests a mint julep and a Hot Brown sandwich while you cheer on the ponies.

Mint Julep

Leaves from 4-5 mint sprigs
2 sugar cubes or 1/2 oz simple syrup
2 1/2 oz Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
mint sprig for garnish

Place the mint and simple syrup or sugar into a julep cup, Collins glass or double old-fashioned glass. Muddle well to dissolve the sugar and release the oil and aroma of the mint. Add the bourbon. Fill with crushed ice and stir well until the glass becomes frosty. Garnish with the mint sprig.

The Hot Brown: Kentucky's Famous Sandwich

This historic sandwich was served to guests at the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Ky. The open-face sandwich, made with turkey, bacon and Mornay sauce, was served to hungry guests after a late night of dining and dancing. Mornay sauce is a bechamel sauce mixed with cheese.

Red Lobster's Cheddar Biscuits

Cheddar cheese and garlic added to Bisquick mix makes these an instant party hit. Spread garlic butter on top of the biscuits for a delicious buttery indulgence.

Ree Drummond's Peach-Whiskey BBQ Chicken

Serve this tender peach-glazed chicken with a side of grits. The chicken should almost fall off of the bone after cooking for 1 1/2 hours.

Michael Symon's Bacon-Bananas 'Foster'

Crispy bacon tops this sweet vanilla sundae. Bananas are cooked, flambeed with bourbon and dotted with butter for a hot topping that complements the cold ice cream.
