Kent State adding these 4 new majors

KENT, Ohio (WJW) — Kent State University is expanding for students with four new majors.

The board of trustees made the reveal during their quarterly meeting this week. Majors in applied media, journalism education, biostatistics and epidemiology will become available in fall 2024.

KSU said this will help address growing needs in the workforce and their respective fields.

“The new majors provide a pathway to a degree for media students who have amassed credits but have not completed their current program, offer continuing education opportunities for high school teachers who are responsible for teaching and advising an array of student media content, and help meet the growing need for biostatisticians and epidemiologists,” KSU says on it’s website.
