In preparation for Memorial Day on Monday, members of Kent American Legion Post 496 placed flags on graves Thursday at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
Services in the city will begin with the 10 a.m. Kent Memorial Day Parade, which steps off from North Water Street.
