Kellyanne Conway Addresses Russian Intel Claims With Seth Meyers

On Tuesday, Kellyanne Conway, President-elect Donald Trump’s former campaign manager and current senior adviser, visited Late Night With Seth Meyers. Hours before taping, CNN broke a story that Trump was briefed by four U.S. intelligence agencies on Russian efforts to compromise him and that one of his surrogates had an alleged connection to Russian intermediaries.

Conway responded that Trump was not briefed on the information and added, “He has said that he is not aware of that.” Meyers jokingly responded, “Well, that concerns me.”

Meyers then pressed Conway on Trump’s reluctance to hold a press conference to address these issues. She said, “The president-elect has been very busy forming his government.”

Meyers joked about Trump’s having enough time to meet with Kanye West.

After the two traded jabs, Meyers offered a friendly wager: “I’m gonna make you a bet. I bet in the next four years we are not going to see the president-elect’s tax returns.”

Conway responded, “I bet that most Americans are gonna care what their tax returns are going to look like after he’s been president for four years.”

Meyers quipped, “I think that means you agree with me.”

The Late Show With Seth Meyers airs weekdays at 12:37 a.m. on NBC.
