Kelly Rowland Won’t Comment On Beyoncé’s Twins

Since reports surfaced that Beyoncé finally gave birth to her twins, fans have been interested in learning more about the boy and girl who are now a part of the Carter family. Those hoping to get details about the newborns shouldn’t depend on the “Sorry” singer’s close friend, Kelly Rowland to leak any information about the babies.

On Wednesday, Rowland posted a video to her Instagram story where she refused to answer questions about Beyoncé’s twins. In the video, the Destiny’s Child alum is featured in front of the camera while someone in the background holds up a “No” button toy. Off camera, a person begins to ask the singer to comment on the twins.

“Kelly, will you just answer one Beyoncé question?” Rowland smiles as the person holding the button then presses it and the voice from toy spells out the word “No.”

“Kelly, come on. Just one question about the babies,” the voice from the button screams “No.”

“Kelly, we know you know about the babies,” to which the button repeatedly replies “No.”

For the most part, those close to Beyoncé have remained mum when it comes to releasing details about the twins. The only person from the “Formation” singer’s inner circle who has commented on the delivery was the singer’s father, Mathew Knowles.

On Sunday, Knowles shared a post on Instagram wishing the twins a happy birthday. “They’re here!” he captioned the message. Shortly after, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles liked the post.

News of the twins’ birth was first reported on Saturday, but the twins were reportedly born on Monday, June 12. Since the birth, both mother and babies have remained in the hospital due to a “minor issue” with the twins, according to TMZ.

Although reports have insisted Beyoncé is doing well, doctors don’t feel comfortable releasing the twins seeing as the singer did not carry them to full term. The babies are said to be premature and have been placed “under the lights” due to a condition called jaundice which causes elevated bilirubin levels. “Infant jaundice is a yellow discoloration in a newborn baby’s skin and eyes,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

Although the twins are expected to be okay, there are still some risks. “Complications are rare, a high bilirubin level associated with severe infant jaundice or inadequately treated jaundice may cause brain damage,” the Mayo Clinic reported.

Beyoncé first announced her pregnancy in February on Instagram by posting a photo of herself caressing her growing baby bump. “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters,” she wrote.

News that the singer had a high-risk pregnancy surfaced when doctors advised her to pull out of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Beyoncé was scheduled to headline the festival but announced she could not perform and was later replaced by Lady Gaga. She will instead play at the festival in 2018.

Beyoncé and Jay Z have yet to release a statement following the birth of their twins.
