Kelly Ripa Says Donald Trump Was a ‘Great’ Co-Host on ‘Live’
Kelly Ripa visited Late Night with Seth Meyers and recalled the time Donald Trump co-hosted Live with Kelly in 2006. She said that then-reality-TV-star Trump was a “great” host. Ripa said, “You know what’s crazy? He was talking about running for president then.”
She added, “And I remember actively having this conversation with him. He said, ‘Everybody wants me to run for president.’ And I said, ‘Who?'”
However, Ripa cautioned Trump that he wouldn’t be able to travel to Florida or golf every weekend, as he was known to do. She was proved wrong, as President Trump has now spent 25 days at his resort in Florida, and has golfed 16 times during his first six months in office.
She remarked, “In theory, I was right, but now I realize that I’m an idiot and none of that is true.”
