Hometown favorite Kelly Clark has won the halfpipe at the U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships.
The 23-year-old former Olympic gold medalist pulled off her signature acrobatics with near-flawless execution Saturday, posting a score of 94.95 to beat Hannah Teter (88.10) and Gretchen Bleiler (86.30) in the 29th annual event in Stratton, Vt.
The men's halfpipe is set for later Saturday. It will be held without Shaun White, who pulled out earlier this week with an injury.
On Friday, Eric Willett and Enni Rukajarvi won in slopestyle.
