KCSO: Man goes underwater in Kern River near Lake Ming Campground
Aug. 5—A 32-year-old man went underwater Saturday in the Kern River near the Lake Ming Campground and did not resurface, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
Search and Rescue was called at about 12:50 p.m. on a report that the man went into the water, soon started to struggle while swimming and did not emerge, KCSO said in a news release.
The man was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.
Search and Rescue, with other emergency personnel, searched the area by boat and shoreline.
