KCPD investigating double shooting at Northland Thriftway

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri police detectives are investigating a double shooting in the Northland Tuesday evening.

The shooting was reported just before 6:30 p.m. at the Thriftway near N. Brighton Avenue and NE Parvin Road.

When officers arrived on scene they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A woman was also located with a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

It is unknown at this time if the shooting happened inside or outside the business.

No suspect information has been released at this time.

Detectives are continuing to investigate what led up to the shooting.
