Southwest Airlines released its flight schedule through July 10, 2023, and the carrier will restore two non-stop routes and add more daily departures from KCI starting April 2023.

The major airline will restore non-stop routes to Albuquerque and Indianapolis, after suspending both routes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to KCI Airport.

The airline will be increasing daily departures from KCI soon after the airport’s new and highly anticipated terminal opens in March. People can expect more frequent flights from Southwest as soon as April.

Those additional flights will be headed to Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Diego, St. Louis, Las Vegas, Orlando and Pensacola, KCI tweeted on Thursday.

The airline will be adding up to six new daily departures in April and two more in June for a total of 67 daily Southwest departures, according to Southwest spokesperson Dan Landson. “As Kansas City International Airport’s largest carrier, Southwest looks forward to serving our Customers and the community from the new KCI terminal in 2023,” Ladson said in an email statement.
