Katy Perry, Drew Barrymore, Charlize Theron, Ariana Grande and More Attend Women's Marches Across the Nation
Hundreds of thousands of people across the country gathered together on Saturday to march for women's rights.
Just one day after Donald Trump was sworn into office as the 45th President of the United States, Americans walked together in protest at Women's Marches in various cities to "stand together in solidarity" and defend the protection of "our rights, our safety, our health and our families."

"We have people power and we will use it," women's rights activist, Gloria Steinem, told the crowd at the Women's March on Washington, which The New York Times reported is expected to be the largest inauguration-related protest in U.S. history. "Thank you for understanding that sometimes we have to put our bodies where our beliefs are. Sometimes pressing send is not enough."
"This is the upside of the downside," she continued. "This is an outpouring of energy and true democracy like I have never seen in my very long life. It is wide in age, it is deep in diversity."
Lena Dunham was just one of many celebrities who attended the Women's March in Washington, D.C., sharing a series of pics via social media. "Parks and menstruation," she captioned a selfie snapped with Amy Poehler and Girls executive producer Jenni Konner.

Before heading out to the protest, Katy Perry penned an inspiring message about the importance of standing up for your rights on Instagram. "Marching with SO many sisters today but my heart is most proud to march with my blood sister, Angela, who has always been my guardian angel," she wrote. "We should all be guardians for each other."
"I march today because I am not afraid anymore and I hope I can be an example of fearlessness and resilience. I will not let anyone suppress me, silence me or clip my wings," she continued. "For a long time I misunderstood the true definition of being a feminist, but now that I know, I am empowered! I am indisputably a feminist. I am here today to break the cycle of suppression and inequality. I stand with you all!"
