Kathy Griffin is showing off her new look, two months after shaving her head.

The comedian, who buzzed off all of her hair in solidarity with her cancer-stricken sister, Joyce, took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon to show the progress on her hair, which is slowly growing back.

Joyce passed away last month after her battle with cancer.

The 56-year-old posted the picture so that she could debut her new appearance on her own terms and before paparazzi snapped her photo.

"Two choices," she captioned the photo. "Let the paparazzi photograph me while I'm buying 5 pints of ice cream at the grocery store or tweet this photo."

Clearly, she went with the second option.

Griffin is coming off of a tumultuous year, which included a massive controversy around a gory photo shoot she partook in which involved her holding a fake bloody, severed head of Donald Trump. The picture, which was widely condemned, resulted in Griffin losing out on a handful of career opportunities, including being fired from her CNN New Year's Eve special, which she used to host with pal Anderson Cooper.

Following a bizarre, tear-filled press conference with her lawyer, Lisa Bloom, Griffin later revealed that she had taken back her apology.
