Kathie Lee Gifford revealed a harrowing experience with a producer she had as a young star on the "Today" show on Monday morning.

The 64-year-old and co-host Hoda Kotb were discussing Megyn Kelly's earlier interview with former FOX News personality Lauren Sivan -- who came forward with a story of producer Harvey Weinstein once forcing her to watch him masturbate -- when Gifford revealed that she had the "exact same thing" happen to her with another producer.

She recounted an invitation she got when she was 21-years-old to go to an unnamed producer's home to discuss her career, when he forced her to watch him touch himself.

"I learned from that, boy," she explained. "I felt grateful I got out of there without being raped. When you're so demeaned, you feel dirty and so stupid. I thought, 'Kathie, idiot. Never go to somebody's house.' I was 21 years old."

In addition to the heartbreaking reveal, Gifford also opened up about her reaction to the mounting sexual harassment allegations against Hollywood mega-producer Harvey Weinstein, who she's been friends with since "Pulp Fiction" came out in 1994.

"He's always been fantastic to me," Gifford said. "I never saw any of this. I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm just saying I know a different man -- just like I did with Bill Cosby."

"It's very upsetting to me on a personal level," she continued. "This is a man I considered a friend. I feel for his family, and I feel for him. It's also upsetting for me as a woman that this kind of behavior is real, and no one ever thinks it's going to catch up with them."

Gifford's public reaction comes after more people in Hollywood have spoken about about Weinstein's behavior, which resulted in him being fired from The Weinstein Company on Sunday night. Meryl Streep, Judi Dench and a slew of other stars have also publicly condemned Weinstein for his reported pattern of sexual harassment.
