Kate Upton and Justin Verlander Welcome a Baby Girl

Kate Upton and her husband, Justin Verlander, welcomed their baby girl in the perfect way: with a close-up. Baby Genevieve Upton Verlander arrived on November 7, but the model and actor made it official on Instagram yesterday, posting a photo of the new arrival. Verlander did the same, giving his followers a second look at little Genevieve.
"Welcome to the world Genevieve Upton Verlander. You stole my [heart] the first second I met you!!!" Verlander, a Major League Baseball player, captioned a photo of the baby's tiny hands. He added the wee one's birthday, too: "11.7.2018."

Upton's photo was similar, focusing on Genevieve's hand, but she included more of the baby's features, showing her followers a bit of nose and a tiny pout. Her caption was simpler, just announcing the baby's name and her birthday.

Today notes that the two announced Upton's pregnancy back in July, when Upton posted a photo using the hashtag #PregnantinMiami. The two married last November. Now, the power couple has one more member in their family who arrived ready for a close-up. Like mother, like daughter.
