Kari Lake, a former gubernatorial candidate and conservative firebrand, is set to hold a rally at the headquarters of Jetset Magazine, a high-end lifestyle publication geared toward the “ultra-wealthy.”

She is expected to announce her entrance into the race for the 2024 Republican nomination for U.S. Senate.

In promotional materials, the magazine describes its audience as “the wealthiest demographic in the world,” reaching "only the one percent of the world’s population who control more than fifty percent of the world’s wealth."

The magazine's main areas of focus include “top travel destinations, celebrity and CEO profiles, yachting, aviation, watches and jewelry, fashion, finance, art, technology, golf, luxury automotive, and more.”

Not the first time Kari Lake has used venue for an event

Its headquarters are near Scottsdale Airport.

Lake has hosted at least one campaign event at Jet Set’s headquarters before, appearing alongside South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem at the venue toward the end of Lake's 2022 bid for Arizona governor.

The Lake campaign did not immediately respond to questions about the choice of venue.

Jetset's ties to former President Donald Trump

The magazine appears to have ties to former President Donald Trump and other Republican candidates. Robert Kiyosaki, one of its executive editors, has co-authored with Trump books about personal finance and entrepreneurship. Kiyosaki promoted the then-real estate mogul in the pages of Jet Set Magazine during Trump’s 2016 campaign for president.

“As I watch the Republican debates, I ask myself, 'Of all the candidates on that stage, which one knows how to make money?'” Kiyasoki wrote. “If we were a business, we’d be beyond bankrupt. We need someone to clean house. We need Donald J. Trump; we need an education president.”

According to federal election records, Kiyosaki has frequently donated large sums to Republican political campaigns, giving nearly $100,000 to GOP causes and candidates since 2016.

Lake’s campaign launch is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
