Kansas State Wildcats land first football recruit for 2025. He’s a QB from St. Louis

A new quarterback is on his way to Kansas State.

The Wildcats have landed their first football commitment of the 2025 recruiting class in Dillon Duff, a 6-foot-2 and 185-pound passer from St. Louis. He is considered a three-star prospect by national recruiting services.

Duff chose K-State after making several visits to Manhattan and building a relationship with head coach Chris Klieman, offensive coordinator Conor Riley and quarterbacks coach Matt Wells. He picked the Wildcats over scholarship offers from Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Duke, Indiana and others.

He announced his college decision with a post on social media on Monday.

His commitment is excellent news for the Wildcats, who have been pushing for several weeks to land their first recruit in the 2025 cycle. They get started with a quarterback who can help them win over other recruits in the coming weeks and months.

Quarterback became an important recruiting position for K-State after it lost several passers to the NCAA transfer portal at the end of the season.

Adding depth and potential future starters behind Avery Johnson is a priority moving forward.

K-State got the process started this week with Duff pledging his services to the Wildcats.
