Kansas State Fair announces Rock of Ages grandstand act

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas State Fair will start and end this year’s grandstand acts with country music. But at least two other acts will feature rock music.

On Monday, the Kansas State Fair announced it is bringing musicians from Broadway’s “Rock of Ages” to Hutchinson on Thursday, Sept. 12. The night will feature original cast members of the smash hit performing “monster hits that helped define the ’80s.”

The rock musicians will perform hits of legendary artists, like Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Journey, Whitesnake, Poison, Joan Jett, Styx, Pat Benatar, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, and many others.

Tickets cost $25 and go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, March 15. However, the Kansas State Fair is offering a pre-sale invitation on Thursday, March 14, at 10 a.m. for people who use the password 80sROCK.
