Kansas men’s basketball’s season ends in Round of 32

SALT LAKE CITY (KSNT) – Kansas men’s basketball got a matchup with five-seeded Gonzaga in the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.

Despite leading at the half, the Jayhawks fell victim to the Bulldogs, ending Kansas’ season with a 89-68 loss.

After falling behind 6-0 early, Kansas stormed back to take an 11-8 lead four minutes into the game. Both offenses stepped up in the first half, with Bill Self’s squad leading 44-43 at the break.

The second half was a different story. A 15-0 run at the beginning of the period saw Gonzaga with a 66-51 lead. Every KU bucket had a Bulldog answer, as Kansas lost the game 89-68 to end its season.

Hunter Dickinson led the Jayhawks with 15 points, while Dajuan Harris Jr. added 10 points and 11 assists.

Kansas ends its season with a 23-11 record and Round of 32 exit in the NCAA Tournament.
