Kansas man seriously injured in single-car crash

SALINE COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — A Kansas man was seriously injured in a single-car crash early Sunday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 1:13 a.m., a 24-year-old man from Salina was driving a 2020 Mercedes A-Class east on Old U.S. Highway 40, just west of Broadway, when he lost control navigating a curve.

His car entered the ditch to the south and hit a railroad embankment, causing the car to vault and overturn, roll and come to a stop on its wheels facing to the north.

The driver was taken to a Salina hospital with suspected serious injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt.
