Kansas man arrested in Alaska for drug and trafficking charges

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man from Kansas was arrested in Alaska for drug and trafficking charges.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, when the 39-year-old man from Montgomery County left Kansas, he was wanted for multiple felony drug manufacturing charges, trafficking charges, and failure to appear in court.

Information given to Alaska law enforcement led them to find the man. Following a brief standoff with the Fairbanks Criminal Suppression Unit in a mall parking lot, he surrendered and was taken into custody on Tuesday, May 7.

The man will be extradited back to Kansas.

KSN does not identify suspects unless charges are filed in their case.
