NORTHEAST KANSAS (KSNT) – As spring rolls around, K-Nation had no shortage of content from the Jayhawks and Wildcats.

The week started with the Sunflower Showdown in men’s basketball after K-State took the first game of the season in Manhattan. In round two, Kansas dominated against its rival, taking down the ‘Cats 90-68 in Allen Fieldhouse.

On Saturday, the two teams looked the exact opposite. No. 14 KU was rolled by No. 1 Houston on the road while K-State picked up a big upset victory over No. 6 Iowa State.

Big 12 women’s teams started the conference tournament in Kansas City. KU started with a dominant showing against BYU before losing to Texas. K-State is still alive after a thrilling win against West Virginia.

Pete Hughes is looking to make no doubts about his K-State baseball team in 2024 after narrowly missing the NCAA tournament last year. K-Nation’s Glenn Kinley sat down with Hughes to talk about the Bat Cats goals as Big 12 play begins.

Kansas baseball sophomore Kodey Shojinaga was the co-Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023 and is ready for more in his second campaign. K-Nation’s Caroline Soro sat down with Shojinaga to see how the Hawaii-native is prepping for conference games.

K-Nation also gives updates on each football team, showcases Kansas track coach Stanley Redwine as he takes the reigns of Team USA at the Olympics, the Big 12 bracket and more.

K-Nation airs every Sunday night on KSNT after 27 News at 10. It’s a 30-minute weekly sports special revolving around K-State and KU sports. Click here for more K-Nation content.
