Justin Timberlake's shirt was the only risk he took during his Super Bowl halftime show

During Justin Timberlake's super safe, not-very-interesting halftime show, the majority of people were focused on one thing: his shirt.

JT came back to the pop culture landscape this past week with an album that contained no subtlety. It's titled Man of the Woods.

He seems like he really wants to commit to this dumb branding exercise. Much of the decor from his  show seemed like it leapt out the background of an L.L. Bean photoshoot, and naturally he wanted to dress the part as well.

As you can see, he accentuated his pop asthetic with a red bandana and a shirt that looks like it has some sort of elk on it.

He's a man of the woods now.

He loves elk.

Loves them.

According to People, JT's outfits for this gig was designed by Stella McCartney (daughter of that one Beatle). And the elk shirt? It features the artwork of British artist Martin Ridley.

His website doesn't seem to contain the image emblazoned in our mind, but we're going to keep looking until we are also men and women of the woods.

Unfortunately, not everyone was as into it as we were/are/will be forever.
