Junior League of Colorado Springs to celebrate 100 years

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Junior League of Colorado Springs (JLCS) is celebrating 100 years of supporting the community with a Centennial Gala where a “little glam will do a whole lot of good.” President-Elect, Rita Mays, joined FOX21 Morning News on Monday, April 22 to explain what attendees can expect.

May said the JLCS has been somewhat of a nonprofit hub since its founding, helping other local well-known nonprofit organizations get off the ground such as; the Children’s Literacy Center, TESSA, and the Ronald McDonald House. Currently, the JLCS’ focus is youth aging out of the foster care system and the organization has partnered with Fostering Hope to support this effort.

Proceeds from the gala will go to Fostering Hope and tickets can be purchased here, or at the website linked above.

This year’s theme is the 1920s to celebrate the league’s establishment in 1924. The first 50 guests to arrive will receive a complimentary glass of champagne and a JLCS Swag Bag that includes: one bottle of 1924 wine, two raffle entries into the Southwest Flight E-pass raffle giveaway, sponsorship swag, and more.
