I recall reading the new-year trend predictions in trade publications and blogs and thinking that so much of the conversation about information management and analytics centers on technologies such as Hadoop, in-memory computing, mobility, and cloud. While these technologies are exciting and are enabling much of the transformation in today’s information environment, it’s always important to back up and think about first identifying and prioritizing those value-generating opportunities to leverage information by starting with a strategy and roadmap.
