Juli Boeheim, wife of Jim Boeheim, robbed at gunpoint at Destiny USA in Syracuse: Reports

Juli Boeheim, the wife of Syracuse University men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim, was robbed at gunpoint in the Destiny USA parking lot in Syracuse on Tuesday afternoon, according to multiple reports.

Police responded to a robbery at the mall, 9090 Destiny USA Dr., at 2:08 p.m. The victim, identified as Juli Boeheim by Syracuse.com, was not injured.

Police said the victim was sitting inside her vehicle near an entrance to the mall when she was approached by a youth. The male started a conversation with the victim before pointing a gun at her. He reached into her car and stole her purse.

The suspect ran off, entered a car with two other people and drove away. The vehicle they were in had been reported stolen.

Police are seeking the public's help and ask anyone with information about the robbery to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.

Juli and Jim Boeheim married in 1997 and have three children. Their two sons, Jimmy and Buddy, play on the Orange basketball team. Their daughter, Jamie, is a senior at the University of Rochester.
