Josh Gad boards Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express

Murder on the Orient Express continues to pick up passengers, with Josh Gad becoming the most recent addition to Kenneth Branagh's star-studded whodunnit.

EW has confirmed that Gad, known for voicing Olaf in Frozen and starring in Broadway's Book of Mormon, will play Hector McQueen, a high-strung translator with a taste for drink, in the Fox film. Anthony Perkins previously played the character in Sidney Lumet's 1974 adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel.

Gad joins a cast that includes Branagh as the famous detective Hercule Poirot, as well as Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench, and Michael Peña. Branagh is also directing, from a script by Michael Green (Blade Runner 2049, Green Lantern). Production is slated to start next month.

Gad's other upcoming movies include Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast, A Dog's Purpose, and Marshall.

In an Instagram post featuring an Orient Express book cover, Gad said he's "very excited to board this train."
