Jose Altuve, and even J.J. Watt, look tiny next to Joel Embiid

Tall-person-next-to-small-person pictures are always great. They’re even better when both people are world-class athletes. And they’re the best – as we found out Tuesday night – when the contrast is between more than two people.

Our evidence:

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve and Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt all made appearances at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year awards ceremony. Of course they had to get a photo together.

Embiid is listed at 7-foot, but is more like 7-foot-2. Altuve, who won the World Series with the Astros in October, is 5-foot-6. Watt is 6-foot-5, and makes Altuve look tiny, but looks small himself next to Embiid. At the very least, he looks like a normal-sized human being for the first time in his life.

Watt and Altuve were named SI’s Sportspeople of the Year for their impact on the city of Houston in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Watt raised over $37 million for relief efforts.

The awards ceremony also gave us Embiid alongside SI’s Sports Kid of the Year, Bunchie Young:
