Joplin Police searching for suspect in shooting that injured one

JOPLIN, Mo. — Joplin Police have released a mugshot of the man they say shot someone during a fight on Monday night.

Trent Cobb, 33, of Joplin is wanted on charges of first degree assault and armed criminal action. JPD says he shot another man in the abdomen near 18th and Main around 8:15 Monday night.

Police add they were able to identify Cobb after seeing surveillance video from a nearby business. Cobb lives at 1515 S. Wall and that’s where police thought he might have ran after the shooting.

When they discovered he wasn’t inside, JPD issued a warrant for Cobb’s arrest. He is considered armed and dangerous.

JOPLIN, Mo. — Joplin Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting on Main Street in Joplin.

Officers responded to a shots fired call around 8:15 last night near 18th and Main. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

FOUR STATES CRIME…

Authorities received information that the suspect might be at a residence at 1515 South Wall Avenue.

The SWAT team responded because the incident involved a firearm. However, when they entered the residence, the suspect was not there.
