Joplin man gets over 10 years for 2022 Great Southern Bank robbery

JOPLIN, Mo. — A Joplin man will spend more than a decade in prison for robbing a Joplin bank back in 2022.

Thursday, a federal judge sentenced Vincent Gepson, 64, to 12 years and 7 months in prison without parole.

Gepson pleaded guilty to bank robbery back in June.

FOUR STATES CRIME…

Gepson entered Great Southern Bank at 12th & Range Line on May 9, 2022, told the teller he had a gun and demanded cash.

The teller placed $1,000 in a plastic bag and Gepson left the bank.

He was arrested on May 20, 2022 by the Acadia Parish, Louisiana Sheriff’s Department.
