Comedian-turned-political commentator Jon Stewart can't figure out what's up with social media.

On one hand, Stewart sees social media, such as Twitter and Facebook, as a terrible force that has "democratized abuse" — just look at the rampant Twitter trolls and fake news stories filling Facebook newsfeeds. While on the other hand he says it "connects people in a way that's remarkable."

Brokaw brings the conversation back to television, which as a teenager he found revolutionary.
