Jon Stewart Stands Up to 'Stand Your Ground' Laws

Back from a week-long vacation, The Daily Show host tried to avoid the low-hanging fruit among the stories he missed -- Dick Cheney's heart transplant -- and weigh in on the meatier subject of the Trayvon Martin shooting. "Let's pass a law saying that anyone who feels threatened doesn't have to retreat, and then invite thousands of drunk frat guys to town," Stewart quips of Florida's controversial "Stand Your Ground" law. Thank God for the cable news networks, who played back bits of George Zimmerman's police call ad nauseam while their hosts wore hoodies in solidarity, for giving viewers reason to laugh at this terrible story.
